About the RoxieRide

RoxieRide
is designed exclusively for use on Gold Wing 1500 and 1800 trikes for dogs up to 15 pounds.
The custom windshield is available in smoke or clear with the top of the windshield rising 18" above the interior floor of the Ride. Nancy and Sherman Kendall and their veterinarian, Dr. Keith Lund of Park City, recommend selecting the tinted windshield to protect the dog’s eyes from UV rays and to provide the dog with a stronger sense of shelter and security.

The wood base – designed for safety and insulation – is encased in molded fiberglass that is custom-painted to match the trike. The dog is secured inside the RoxieRide by means of a chain that connects a chest ring on the dog’s harness to a ring bolted to the carpeted floor. A dog up 15 to 20 pounds (depending on the size of the Roxieride) should be able to sit or lie comfortably but not lean over the side of the carrier.

Can be easily attached by the buyer to the passenger seat and antenna bracket. No drilling is required, and there is no damage caused to the trike by the mounting. RoxieRide is designed to fit to the right of the passenger, well above the rear fender.

RoxieRide is the brainchild of Gold Wing trike riders Sherman and Nancy Kendall of Park City,Utah, who wanted a way to bring along their silver miniature poodle, Roxie, on their travels. In seven years, Roxie has logged more than 70,000 miles in various incarnations of the cart that bears her name. "People who love their pets and their trikes don’t have to choose one over the other now," said Nancy. "Who wouldn’t enjoy traveling more with their dog along?" *Sherman Kendall says the new RoxieRide* enhances the look of his trike. "The fiberglass body is custom-color matched to our trike," he says.
